Artist's Description

In this painting, I wanted to capture the classic beauty of a Key West style tropical beach house with hibiscus flowers, palm trees and white picket fence. The model photo I used for the painting was actually taken on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, but the painting is meant to be a beach house one might see anywhere. When people ask me where it is I say "wherever you want it to be", but most people are reminded of Key West, and that's just fine with me! The original painting is 15"x22". This is a limited edition of 100 prints.

About Pauline Walsh Jacobson

Pauline Walsh Jacobson

I specialize in underwater photography, and use my photos as inspiration for my marine life paintings. I grew up on the Texas coast, and love the ocean and beach. After receiving a bachelors degree in fine art from Lamar University, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I enjoyed a long career in graphic design, drafting, cartography and geographic information systems. I am retired now and my husband, Kent and I live in Delray Beach Florida where I continue to scuba dive and photograph marine life.
